Monster High Dolls from Mattel are the hottest dolls around at the moment. If you've been looking for something a bit different then Monster High Dolls are definitely it. Monster High Dolls first started out with just 6 dolls in the range (the four BFF's plus the mean girl of the school and her boyfriend) but now they have expanded the characters which also includes boy dolls.
Monster High Dolls are all teenage children of famous monsters. The dolls are not real girly dolls as they have that freaky style about them but they are so cool and super fashionable and trendy.

Each new version of Monster High dolls that are released see the dolls in different clothes and hairstyles. For instance the Frankie Stein Monster High Doll in the "Classroom" series has bangs, giving her a whole new style and look. It becomes an addiction collecting these dolls. From time to time Monster High Dolls also release a limited edition version of a particular doll which are collectors items. So far we have seen the Frankie Stein Black and White Comic Con Limited Edition Doll and the Ghoulia Yelps Comic Con Limited Edition Doll.
New characters are added to the Monster High Dolls all the time. It's exciting to see what Mattel will release next. Each Monster High doll comes with a pet figure, accessory, diary, brush and doll stand. They are fully articulated at the wrists, elbows and knees which make it really easy to redress them. Each Monster High Doll has a freaky flaw, favorite colors, favorite foods and pet peeves that make each character unique.
Monster High Dolls - Who Are They?
Frankie Stein
Frankie Stein is the daughter of Frankenstein and is 15 years old. She comes with her pet Watzit who was made up of several animals.
Draculaura
Draculaura is the daughter of Count Dracula, she's 1599 years old but looks amazing!! Her pet is Count Fabulous the Bat.
Clawdeen Wolf
Clawdeen Wolf is the daughter of The Werewolf and is 15 years old. She comes with her pet Crescent, a scary little kitten.
Lagoona Blue
Lagoon Blue is the daughter of a sea monster. She's 15 years old and has a pet piranha called Neptuna.
Cleo De Nile
Cleo De Nile is the leader of the Fear Leaders Squad and is 5842 years old. She's the mean girl at school and is the girlfriend of Deuce Gorgon. Cleo is the daughter of The Mummy of course and her pet is Hissette the Egyptian Cobra.
Deuce Gorgon
Deuce Gorgon is the super cool son of Medusa. He's 16 and comes with his pet two tailed rat, Perseus. He's Cleo De Nile's boyfriend.
Cleo and Deuce come in a gift set together but all the other Monster High Dolls can be bought separately.
Ghoulia Yelps
Ghoulia Yelps is the daughter of Zombies from the Zombie movie Night of The Living Dead. Ghoulia Yelps has pale gray skin and bright blue hair. She is the smartest girl at Monster High. She has a baby blue colored owl named Sir Hoots-a-Lot.
Holt Hyde
Holt Hyde is the son of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He is also the school DJ. Holt has a pet chameleon named Crossfade.
Jackson Jekyll
Jackson Jekyll is the son of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He is the alter ego of Hyde. He's the normal side and is the only human at Monster High.
Clawd Wolf is the 17 year old son of the Werewolf and Clawdeen Wolf’s brother. He is one of the older Monster High Dolls and drives a car. He has a pet gargoyle bulldog named Rockseena.
Spectra Vondergeist
Spectra Vondergeist is the daughter of ghosts. She can float through the walls and is able to overhear school gossip. Spectra’s pet is a purple ghost ferret is named Rhuen.
Abbey Bominable
Abbey Bominable is the 16 year old daughter of The Yeti. She comes from a very cold place in the snow therefore wears a special ice crystal to perpetuate the coldness of her home. She is always cold herself and cold to touch Abbey has a pet woolly mammoth called Shiver.

Once reading this book you will no doubt want to read the other Monster High Books. The books are great at explaining the history of Monster High and how all the characters came about.
